Indoor T-shaped FM antenna
When
using the 'T"' shaped feeder FM antenna, supplied with this unit,
as a temporary
measure,
connect
it to the FM
3002
ANTENNA
terminals on the rear panel of the unit. Spread the antenna
out in the
shape
of a "T.''
Then
while
listening
to your
favorite
FM
station
change the direction:
and
location
until the position where optimum,
noise-free reception is found, and secure the antenna.
Outdoor FM antenna
Connect the antenna to your unit as illustrated in the diagram.
lf you are using a coaxial
cable, connect
its central conductor to the
terminal
marked
752
and
the shield
to the terminal
marked
G as
illustrated. If you are using a feeder cable, connect it to the FM 3002
terminals.
1. The antenna should be installed as high as Spible: and as far away
as possible from
the street, railroad tracks and high-tension
lines
which cause noise.
2. If the horizontally-extended part of the attached T-shaped antenna
is not
raised
high enough,
reproduction
may
be unstable, since
signals are interrupted every time a person walks in the vicinity of
the antenna.
3. The
lead-in. cable should
be as short and as far away from power
lines as possible. Simply cut off the extra length, if any. Be sure not
to bundle it into a coil.
4.
FM
signals and
antennas
used to receive them
have directionality.
Orient your antenna
in the direction
where
you
receive signals in
best
condition
with
least
multi-path
reflections.
