11. Driving

Important:
• Observe 8. Safety instructions on driving on page 21.
• Operation and handling of remote controlled model cars must be learned! If you have never steered such a
vehicle, drive especially carefully and get used to the responses of the car to the remote control commands
first. Be patient!
• Risk of burns! Components heat up during driving. Do not touch battery, motor, drive train and electrical
components right after driving. Let them coold down sufficiently.

11.1 Controlling

Prerequisites:
• It is assumed you have followed the steps outlined in 10. Getting the model ready for driving on page 24.
Important:
• Make sure everyone uses different frequencies while racing their cars in the same area.
• Do not use the vehicle during thunderstorms, under high-voltage power lines or next to radio masts.
• If the transmitter batteries are weak, the transmission range decreases. Charge/replace batteries
immediately!
• If the drive battery in the model is weak, the model becomes slower or no longer responds correctly to the
transmitter. Charge/replace battery immediately!
• You may lose control over the vehicle when batteries are depleted.
Refer to the provided transmitter instructions to learn about controlling the model.

11.2 After driving

Important:
• Always leave the remote control turned on as long as the drive battery is connected to the model.
• Risk of burns! Components heat up during driving. Do not touch battery, motor, drive train and electrical
components right after driving. Let them coold down sufficiently.
Do the following after driving:
1. Set the speed controller switch to OFF.
2. Disconnect the drive battery from the model.
- Let the battery cool down for approx. 10 minutes and then store it in a suitable battery container.
3. Turn off the transmitter.
