Using a USB device and/or an HDMI
device
Installation of the USB Type-C extension cable 
and/or an HDMI cable (HDMI Type-D or Micro-
HDMI) (not supplied) is required before mounting
the unit in the dashboard.

Connect the USB Type-C extension cable 
to the USB port and/or an HDMI cable (not
supplied) to the HDMI terminal at the rear
panel of the unit.

Pass the cable tie  through the cable
holder, then tie cable tie  around the USB
Type-C extension cable  and/or HDMI
cable (not supplied).
The USB Type-C extension cable  and HDMI
cable (not supplied) are secured to the unit.
* HDMI cable (HDMI Type-D or Micro-HDMI) (not
supplied)

Connect the installed USB Type-C extension
cable  to a USB device and/or HDMI cable
to an HDMI device.

Press HOME, then touch [USB] or [HDMI].
Notes
• When playing back video from an HDMI device, playback
may stop when the interrupt function is activated from the
Rear Camera, Camera 1, or Camera 2 depending on the
connected HDMI device.
When the interrupt function is set to [Off], video can be
played without being stopped.
Select [Settings]  [Application]  [Camera Display]  [Rear
Camera Interruption], [Camera 1 Interruption], or [Camera 2
Interruption].
When the interrupt function is set to [Off], you can display
the camera video by touching [RearCam], [Camera 1], or
[Camera 2] on the HOME screen.
• When the iDataLink Maestro module (not supplied) is
connected, configure the interrupt function in [Maestro
Settings].
Select [Settings]  [Application]  [Maestro Settings].

For your safety
After mounting the display to the unit, make sure
that the display does not interfere with normal
driving operations such as blocking the driver's
view or getting the cables tangled.

Using the mounting brackets supplied
with your car
You may not be able to install this unit in some
makes of Japanese cars. In such a case, consult your
Sony dealer.
