HOW TO USE
It is important to place your Panini Grill on a clean and flat surface when using it in any of the four
cooking positions.
The four cooking positions are as follows:
Panini Press – Closed position. This allows you to cook your food evenly from both top and bottom.
Contact Grill – Closed position. This allows you to cook your food evenly from both top and bottom.
Open Griddle – Flat position. The upper plate is level with the lower plate. The upper and lower plates
line up to create one large cooking surface.
Open Grill – Flat position. The upper plate is level with the lower plate. The upper and lower plates line
up to create one large cooking surface.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
We recommend you to wash the plates carefully before use in warm water with a little washing-up liquid,
and then dry them thoroughly. The machine may give off a little smoke when used for the first time. This
is normal for new heating elements and will stop after a short time.
Put the appliance on a flat, stable surface.
Attach grill plates/griddle plates and choose the cooking position you wanted.
Insert the plug into the wall socket. Select the desired setting by turning the function dial (3) to the left to
use the 'Open Grill' function, or to the right for 'Contact Grill' function. The indicator light on function
dial will be lit.
Turn open grill temperature dial (2) or contact grill temperature dial (4) to the desired temperature. The
open grill temperature settings range is from 100° to 180°; the contact grill temperature settings range is
from 140° to 220°.
When it has reached the correct temperature, the indicator light on open grill temperature dial or the
indicator light on contact grill temperature dial will be lit to show the appliance is ready for cooking.
Note:
The indicator light on open grill temperature dial or the indicator light on contact grill temperature dial
periodically turns on/off as the thermostat regulates the temperature. This is normal.
Don't touch metal parts and hot plates during use. Always use the plastic handle to open it.
CHANGE THE PLATES
Note: Always remove the plug from socket before changing the plates. Always let the
appliance cool down completely before changing the plates.
- Slide the hinge release lever (5) towards you and lay the Panini Grill flat.
- Press firmly on the plates release button (7) that located on the side of the unit until the
plate's end pops up slightly from the base.
- Grasp the plate with both hands and take it out.
- Attach the plate in the reverse order. But note that each plate is designed to fit in either
the cover or the base. The words 'lower' and 'upper' are imprinted on each plate to let
you know where to attach each plate.
