❐ Clean the device before fi rst use and after every subsequent use (see chapter
"Cleaning and storage").
❐ During use, keep your hair, hands and other body parts away from the device!
❐ Only boneless meat and pitted/seedless fruits may be sliced!
❐ Do not use the device continuously for more than 10 minutes. After use, let the device
cool off for 20 minutes before you use it again.

To facilitate cutting meat into thin slices, freeze it for approximately 2–4
hours before cutting.
•
To facilitate cutting warm meat into slices, let it cool off for approximately
15–20 minutes before cutting. Dry off the meat somewhat by dabbing it with
a paper towel.

To facilitate cutting cheese into slices, place it in the refrigerator overnight in
cling wrap before cutting.
•
Allow freshly baked bread to cool off completely before cutting it.
1. Place the device on a dry, level and solid surface.
2. Fold the device open and insert the slide in the guide track. Make sure that the hook
on the bottom of the slide is securely seated in the guide track.
3. Place the fi nger guard on the slide. The studs must be facing inwards in the process
(towards the guide wall).
4. Place the food to be sliced between the fi nger guard and the guide wall.
6. Connect the device to a properly installed, easily accessible socket. The device is
now activated.
7. Push the safety switch and the On/Off switch at the same time. The cutter blade will
rotate. As soon as you release the On/Off switch again, the cutter blade will come
to a stop.
You cannot turn the device on without depressing the safety switch
8. Push the slide forward (away from you). In the process, push the food to be cut gently
against the guide wall with the fi nger guard.
9. Once a slice has been cut off completely, pull the slide back again.
10. Repeat steps 7-9 until you have cut the desired number of slices.
11. To turn off the device, pull the mains plug out of the socket.

5. Set the slice thickness using the control by turning it in
a clockwise direction. The display for slice thickness at
the top of the device indicates the current slice thickness
(setting from 0 to 15 mm possible).
