FITTING INSTRUCTIONS REAR
To fit the R&G tail tidy, first remove the pillion seat using the key.
Slide the rider's seat catch as shown in picture 2A and remove the rider seat.
Remove the four bolts arrowed in pictures 3A and 4A.
Remove the two screws arrowed in picture 5A.
Carefully remove the rear seat cowl as shown in picture 6A to allow access to the wiring plug
sockets as shown in picture 7A.
Disconnect the three wiring plug sockets arrowed in picture 8A.
Remove the screw arrowed in picture 9A.
Remove the four bolts arrowed in picture 10A while supporting the original licence plate
bracket from underneath.
Carefully lower the original licence plate bracket while feeding the wiring through the hole in the
under-tray as shown in picture 11A.
Remove the reflector bracket nut arrowed in picture 12A.
Remove the two screws arrowed in pictures 13A and 14A, this will allow the bracket to be
split apart as shown in picture 15A.
Remove the screw arrowed in picture 16A.
Remove the indicator clamp bracket as shown in picture 17A.
Remove the indicator spreader plate as shown in picture 18A.
Gently squeeze the indicator stem and remove the indicator
Repeat the above steps to remove the opposite indicator.
To fit the indicators of choice (R&G mini indicator product code RG370 for bulb type and
RG371 for LED type or RG372 for Aero Style led type)
Feed the new indicator wiring through the hole in one of the indicator adaptors (item 1)
and offer up to the indicator aperture as shown in picture below (so the shaped location
spigot will fit into the aperture).
Feed one of the remaining indicator adaptors (item 1) over the wiring and into the inside
face of the indicator aperture.
Fit the indicator nut and tighten.
Feed the indicator wiring through one of the nut/wire covers (item 2) as shown in pictures
below (it helps if a small amount of liquid detergent is used) and position the nut cover over
the nut.
Fit one length of heat-shrink (item 4) over the wires of each indicator so the heat-shrink fits
over the stem of the nut/wire cover and gently heat until the heat-shrink contracts to the
wiring and nut/wire cover as shown in pictures below (repeat the above for the opposite
indicator).
