The Wireless feature of the display supports 802.11 a,b,g,n and AC type modems. It is highly recommended
to use IEEE 802.11n communication protocol in order to avoid any possible problems while watching videos.
To avoid possible connectivity problems, change your modem's SSID if there are other modems nearby with
the same SSID. Use a wired connection if you experience problems with a wireless connection. A stable
connection speed is required to play back streaming content. Use an Ethernet connection if the wireless LAN
speed is unstable.
Note: The operating system allows only one network connection at a time. If the display is connected to the
network both wirelessly and via Ethernet (wired), the Ethernet connection will take priority. Unplug the Ethernet
cable to allow wireless connection.
NETWORK STANDBY MODE
Network Standby Mode is a standard that allows a device to be turned on or woken up by a network message
(magic packet). This message is sent to the device by a program executed on a remote device connected to
the same local area network, such as a smartphone. To enable this feature, enable the Network Standby Mode
option in the Network & Internet menu and the Power Mode option in the Display Settings > Signage Settings > Power
Up Settings menu (Power Mode - Standard). It is necessary that both the display and the device from which the
network message will be sent are connected to the same network and all access points support magic packet.
You can use any Network Standby Mode software available for the operating system of your device to send
magic packets. In order to use this feature, the display and device should be connected at least once while the
display is on. If the display is powered off, the connection must be reestablished the next time it is switched
on. (This does not apply when the display is switched into standby mode.)
How to control functionality
• Enable Network Standby Mode in the Network & Internet menu.
• Connect the display and the device to the same network.
• Get the MAC address of your display (refer to page 27 for information on how to get the MAC address).
• Switch the display into standby mode.
• Send magic packets to the MAC address of your display by using a mobile phone, or a Linux or Windows
computer. Your display should wake up after receiving magic packets.
