RDS Operation
Turning Emergency
Alarm On or Off
Press and hold the Power button for at least
2 seconds. The intial RDS setting screen
appears.
Press the F4 (PTY31) button to select the
PTY31 ON or PTY31 OFF mode.
In the PTY31 ON mode, the unit will produce an
alarming sound when the unit receives the
PTY31 (Emergency Broadcast) signal.
To end the PTY31 setting mode, press the
rotary switch.
