saw. The saw must be on a safe support and secured against tipping over.

Do not tilt the workpiece. It should just be guided through. If this advice is not observed, the saw
blade could lift the workpiece.
Special advice about saw blades:
•
Always use saw blades complying with EN 847-1, as indicated by the saw manufacturer in the
accessory list. Do not use HSS saw blades.
•
Warning: To avoid the danger of injury, always keep saw blades in a safe container.
•
When changing a saw blade make sure that the cutting width is greater and the stock thickness
smaller than the thickness of the riving knife (2 mm).
•
Only use saw blades that have a highest permissible speed not less than the maximum shaft speed
(4,500 rpm) of the table saw and the workpiece being sawn.
INTEGRATED SAFETY DEVICES
Always observe the following advice on the safety devices fitted to the table saw. Failure to do this
could lead to serious injury or damage to property.
Riving knife:
The riving knife fitted behind the saw blade prevents the workpiece from being picked up and
thrown by the rising teeth to strike the operator. Whilst you are using the saw, the riving knife must
always be in place (see warning label on the machine).
Dust cowl/blade guard :
The dust cowl/blade guard
unintentional contact with the rotating saw blade. The dust cowl/blade guard must always be in
place whilst you are using the table saw.
Push stick:
The supplied push stick serves as an extension to your hand when feeding the workpiece into the
saw (for use see figures B and D). The push stick allows you to keep an adequately safe distance
away from the saw blade.
Always use the push stick if the distance between the guide fence
Safety ON/OFF switch with AUTO-OFF :
The switch operates using an integrated low voltage relay. This means that the machine cannot
come on again automatically after a power supply failure. The machine must be restarted using
the ON/OFF switch. The machine can be switched off immediately by pressing down the switch
cover. The ON/OFF switch can be secured against unintentional operation by the use of a padlock
(Fig. A).
