installation in case of overpressure, lack of water, too high production flow, etc....
• The low- and a high-pressure analog pressure sensor PSn34 (set to a minimum of 0.3 bar) and PSn43
(set to a maximum of 68 bar) before they give a signal to shut off the machine in order to protect its
components.
• A third analog pressure sensor (PSN06) directly placed at the entry of the prefiltration (cartridge filters).
It detects any lack of water (pressure < 0.6bar) and helps determine the flow-resistance in the
prefiltration system (if there are clogged filters for example).
• The electronic flow sensor (FI61). The machine will reduce the speed of the HP pump and thus the
pressure in the system if the machine's maximum rated capacity is exceeded.
• The salinity probe (CE62) coupled with the automated production valve (V64) assures only water
produced with the correct salinity (< 750ppm) enters the freshwater tank. When the salinity exceeds
750ppm (1500 µS.cm
• All sensors (analog pressure sensors PSn06, PSn34 and PSn43, Flowmeter Fi61 and the Salinity probe
CE62) provide digital readouts on the flowchart screen.
All faults are analyzed and then described on the "History screen" (See paragraph §3.6.3 for a more
extensive description and trouble-shooting).
When a fault occurs, it is displayed on a notification bar on top of the screen as shown on the image
above. Once the anomaly is found, the fault can be cleared by pressing the button on the top right of the
screen. The fault is documented and can be found back in the history screen.
The flowchart screen will show the impacted component in red. (see next paragraph)
Note: Pressing the emergency-stop button and releasing it after, will also clear a fault. It is however advised to
search the probable cause and resolve the problem to avoid rapid reoccurrence of the fault.
