4.4 Basic features
Here you can find information on the basic operating
features of your oven.
This Use and Care Guide covers several models. Your
model may have some but not all of the touch keys listed.
Touch key Function
LIGHT While the oven door is closed, press this
key to turn the oven light on and off. When
the oven door is opened, the oven light will
automatically turn on.
During self clean the oven light cannot be
turned on.
TIMERS Enters the kitchen timer or oven timer
function.
INFO Displays additional information on current
modes.
SETTINGS Enters the basic settings menu.
LOCK Activates/deactivates panel lock
DRAWER Activates the warming drawer
FAST Activates or deactivates the fast preheat
PREHEAT function.

INFO touch key
If the INFO touch key lights up, important information
regarding the mode you are using is available, for example
recommendations on suitable cookware or how to prepare
food for a safe cooking result.
How to use this feature:
When you press INFO, the information is displayed for

a few seconds.
To exit the information mode immediately, press INFO
¡
or touch the display.
Sounds
The appliance uses various sound signals during
operation.
Sounds may indicate the following:
A touch key or touch field has been pressed.

An operation has started or finished.
¡
You can adjust the volume of the sounds in the basic
settings.
Note: Additional functions may be available as a result of
software updates. If a software update is available, you
can find further information in the Home Connect® app.
Depending on your model, some of the modes listed may
be accessible through the MORE MODES feature.
How it works and what it is used for
For baking and cooking small food items on one or more
racks.
Use for large baked items and breads on 1 or 2 racks. Also
suitable for side dishes and casseroles.
Cooks with dry, heated air.
Use for traditional baking and roasting on one level.
Uses intense heat and air circulated by a fan.
Use for roasting of poultry, larger pieces of meat and
vegetables.
Use for roasting poultry or meats.
Use for broiling flat items such as steaks or hamburgers, for
making toast and for cooking au gratin.
Use for cooking thin, tender cuts of meat, poultry and fish.
