Fondue
ATTENTION!
■
Danger of injury! Oil/fat or cheese will become very hot during the fondue! Handle
the pot with care when it contains hot food. Make sure that the pot is not knocked
over. Wear oven gloves when you handle the fondue pot.
■
Always insert the receptacle for the fondue pot into the raclette grill plate before
you place the fondue pot onto the raclette grill plate. Without the receptacle, it is not
possible to guarantee that the pot can be held in place securely.
■
Fats and oils may catch fi re if they are overheated. Please take care when handling
fats and oils. Never pour water into hot fat or hot oil!
■
For the fondue, only use fats and oils which are suitable for frying.
■
Make sure that the food which you want to cook in the fondue pot is not too moist to
prevent the fat/oil from bubbling over.
■
Used cooking oils and cooking fats are not to be poured down the drain. Dispose of
the cooking fat and cooking oil in the domestic waste.
■
Do not overfi ll the fondue pot. The pot should never be more than up to 2/3 full in
order to prevent the risk of spitting or bubbling over.
■
In order to prepare your fondue, only heat up the fondue pot on an electric or glass
ceramic cooker. Do not use other sources of heat like ovens to heat up the fondue
pot. The pot is not suitable for induction cookers! Make sure you wear oven gloves
when transferring hot substances!

Prepare the raclette device in the manner described in the "Raclette" chapter.
Fondue With Oil
1. Heat up frying oil or frying fat in a the fondue pot on the stove (electric or glass
ceramic cooker).
2. Check whether your oil/fat has reached the right temperature by dipping a wooden
chopstick into the oil/fat. If no little bubbles form on the wooden chopstick, the oil/fat
is at the right temperature.
