ATTENTION Danger of fi re! Make sure that foodstuffs containing oil and fats are not
overheated so that they do not catch fi re.
■
In the event of a fi re:
– It is essential to remove the mains plug immediately.
– Hot fat / oil may catch fi re if it is overheated. Do not extinguish burning fat / oil with
water, but smother the fl ames with a fi re blanket or similar cloth or extinguish a fat
fi re with a fi re extinguisher which is capable of extinguishing fi res involving cooking
fat!
– Do NOT use water to extinguish the fi re as the steam can pose an additional risk
of scalding.
– Dispose of the device.

Do not place any combustible materials, such as cardboard, plastic, paper or candles,
on or in the device.
■
Do not place food that is wrapped in cling fi lm or plastic bags in or on the device.
■
Never place aluminium foil or other objects between the fondue pot and the heating
element.
■
Make sure that the heating element does not come into contact with any other objects.
■
Food that is too large, metal foil packaging, or utensils may not be placed on the
raclette device or into the little raclette pans because they may cause fi re or an
electric shock.
■
Never use the raclette as a device for heating a room!
■
Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. Only use it if the
device, mains cable and plug have no signs of damage!
Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
■
Always place the device on a dry, fl at and fi rm surface that is not sensitive to heat.
■
The little raclette pans will become very hot during use! Only place the little raclette
pans down on heat-resistant surfaces.
■
In order to prepare your fondue, only heat up the fondue pot on an electric or glass
ceramic cooker. Do not use other sources of heat like ovens to heat up the fondue
pot. The pot is not suitable for induction cookers! Make sure you wear oven gloves
when transferring hot substances!

Maintain suffi cient clearance from other sources of heat such as hotplates or stoves
and to gas sources in order to avoid damage to the device.
■
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations,
direct sunlight or moisture.
■
The device must not be moved during operation.
■
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
■
Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cable.
■
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
■
Only the accessory parts supplied by the manufacturer should be used. If accessory
parts which are not authorised by the manufacturer are used, all warranty and
guarantee claims are void.
