PLEASE NOTE THAT BEFORE BEGINNING, YOU WILL NEED A SUITABLE JACK TO SUPPORT
THE ENGINE WHEN REMOVING OEM ENGINE BOLTS. IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE
PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE, HAVE FITTED BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN. READ ALL
Fairing removal
•
Remove the 3 bolts holding on the cockpit infill plastic as shown in Picture 1.
•
Undo the single screw holding on the outer piece of the cockpit infill plastic and remove the piece
highlighted in Picture 2.
•
This reveals a single bolt to enable removal of the cockpit infill plastic.
•
To remove the belly pan, undo the bolts as shown in Picture 3 and Picture 4.
•
Now remove the 2 remaining bolts in the belly pan shown in Picture 5 and Picture 6.
•
Under the 2 bolts under the nose cone as shown in Picture 7.
•
At the front of bike on the inside of the side fairing, remove the 3 bolts securing the panel to the
inner shroud highlighted in Picture 8.
•
Next, remove the fairing bolt securing the aero wing as shown in Picture 9.
•
Now as shown in Picture 10, remove the last 3 bolts securing the side fairing to the bike.
•
Carefully remove the front area of the fairing without applying too much pressure and lift the
fairing panel away from the bike.
LHS Crash Protector Bracket installation
•
Begin by supporting the underneath of the engine using a suitable jack support as shown in
Picture 11.
•
Remove the engine mounting bolts as highlighted in Picture 12.
•
Place the 2 x mounting block bolts (ITEM 5) through the 2 outer holes on the mounting block
(ITEM 1).
•
Now on the threaded end of each bolt, place 1 x spacer (ITEM 3) as shown in Assembly Diagram
Left-Side.
•
Line up and insert the bolts into the engine mounting holes and tighten to the specified engine
mounting bolt torque setting.
RHS Crash Protector Bracket installation
•
Begin by supporting the underneath of the engine using a suitable jack support as shown in
Picture 11.
•
Remove the engine mounting bolts as highlighted in Picture 12.
•
Place the 2 x mounting block bolts (ITEM 6) through the 2 outer holes on the mounting block
(ITEM 2).
•
Now on the threaded end of each bolt, place 1 x spacer (ITEM 3) as shown in Assembly Diagram
