V1.0
Place the piloted unloader lever in the upright position every time you shut the engine off, even if you intend to restart
the engine within a few minutes. Air trapped in the air pump will make restarting the compressor difficult.
3.
Drain the condensation from the air pressure tanks and clear the lines of air pressure after each
use.
a.
Pull and hold the release valve ring to relieve pressure in the tanks.
b.
Run the tool to remove pressure from the air hose. Disconnect the tool.
c.
Open the drain valve on each tank.
d.
Tilt the compressor on its side to position the drain valve on the bottom. Hold in place until
the moisture has drained out (Fig. 3).
e.
Tilt the compressor onto its other side to drain the other tank.
f.
Settle the tank on it's feet and leave both valves open if your task is done.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the tool. An improperly repaired tool may present a
hazard to the user and/or others.
A separate engine manual is included. Please consult it when necessary.
1.
Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to control and will have fewer problems.
2.
Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or worn components.. Only use identical replacement
parts when servicing.
3.
Check that all connections and the air hose are leak free. Spray soapy water on any area you suspect there is a leak and
watch for bubbles to form. You must either repair or replace the component. Air leaks will cause the engine to work more
frequently to maintain the air pressure level.
4.
Pull the safety release valve to confirm it moves freely. Remove any obstructions or debris, as they can impair the safety
function of the valve.
5.
Only use accessories intended for use with this tool. Follow instructions for changing accessories.
6.
Keep the tool handles or gripping surfaces clean and dry.
7.
The air compressor has heat dissipation fins for proper cooling. Clean the fins and other parts that collect dust.
8.
Maintain the tool's labels and name plates. These carry important information. If unreadable or missing, contact Princess
Auto Ltd. for replacements.
AIR PUMP FILTER
The air pump has a separate filter from the engine (Fig. 4).
1.
Remove the felt air filter and filter screen.
2.
Clean the filter and screen in warm, soapy water, rinse in clean water and then allow to air dry.
Replace with a new filter if contaminants remain after cleaning.
3.
Reinsert the screen, then filter into the air filter opening.
STORAGE
1.
Before storing the compressor for a prolonged period, use an air blowgun to clean all dust and
debris from the compressor.
2.
Open the drain valve to release all pressure from the tanks. This will also drain all moisture from the tanks.
Tip the air compressor to either side with the drain valves open to remove all condensation from each pressure storage
tank.
3.
Clean the filter element and filter housing; replace the element if necessary. Cover the entire unit to protect it from moisture
and dust.
DISPOSAL
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the appropriate facility.
