V1.0
a.
Do not wear gloves when operating a tool that can snag the material and pull the hand into the tool.
3.
The air source used with this tool may cause hearing damage. Wear ear protection gear to eliminate or reduce the noise.
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
Control the tool, personal movement and the work environment to avoid personal injury or damage to tool.
1.
Do not operate any tool when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications.
2.
Avoid wearing clothes or jewelry that can become entangled with the moving parts of a tool. Keep long hair covered or
bound.
SPECIFIC SAFETY
WARNING! DO NOT let comfort or familiarity with product (gained from repeated use) replace strict adherence to
the tool safety rules. If you use this tool unsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer serious personal injury.
CAUTION! The air compressor engine will get hot while in operation. Never touch the discharge tubing, motor, or
compressor pump while in operation. The compressor operates automatically while the engine is idling.
1.
Use the correct tool for the job. This tool was designed for a specific function. Do not modify or alter this tool or use it for an
unintended purpose.
2.
Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or worn components. Only use identical replacement
parts when servicing.
3.
Discontinue tool use if it does not work properly or air is leaking. Tag or mark the tool as 'defective' or 'out of service' until
repaired.
4.
Serious injury may occur from loose debris being propelled at high speeds from the compressed air stream. Always wear
OSHA approved safety glasses to protect the eyes during operation of the air compressor.
5.
Never point the air stream or tool at any point of your body, other people or animals. Debris and dust ejected at high speed
can cause an injury.
6.
Always turn off the air compressor and drain tank pressure completely before attempting maintenance or attaching air tools.
Release pressure slowly from the system.
7.
Risk of Bursting.
a.
Serious injury or death may occur from an air tank explosion if the air tank is not properly maintained or if modifications,
alterations or repairs are attempted. Drain air tank daily or after each use. Never drill into, weld, patch or modify the air
tank. Replace the tank immediately or replace the entire compressor, if a leak develops.
b.
Serious injury or death may occur if modifications are made to the pilot unloader valve, safety relief valve or other
components that control the tank pressure.
c.
Serious injury or death may occur if modifications are made to the pilot unloader valve, safety relief valve or other
components that control the tank pressure. Never make adjustments to the components that control tank pressure. Do
not make alterations to the factory operating pressure settings. Check operation of the pressure relief valve on a regular
basis and never operate without a factory approved pressure relief valve.
d.
Check the manufacturer's maximum pressure rating for air tools and accessories. Compressor outlet pressure must be
regulated so as to never exceed the maximum pressure rating of the tool.
8.
Risk of Explosion or Fire.
a.
Serious injury may occur if a fire is caused by overheating due to inadequate ventilation or restrictions to any of the
compressor's ventilation openings. Never place objects against or on top of an air compressor. Always operate air
compressor at least 12 in. away from any wall or obstruction. Always operate in a clean, dry and well-ventilated area.
b.
Never spray flammable liquids in a confined area. If sparks come into contact with vapours from gasoline or other
solvents, they may ignite, causing fire or explosion. Always operate the compressor in a well ventilated area. Do not
smoke while spraying. Do not spray where sparks or flame are present. Keep compressor as far from spray area as
possible. Store flammable materials in a secure location away from compressor. Equip the area of operation with a fire
extinguisher.
c.
Never operate the gasoline engine without the muffler properly installed; doing so allows hot engine exhaust or sparks
to vent directly toward the gasoline tank.
d.
Gasoline is flammable and gasoline vapours are explosive. Sparking or heat from engine, or from other sources, can
ignite gasoline.
i.
DO NOT start or operate with fuel cap removed.
ii.
DO NOT refuel while engine is running or still hot.
iii.
DO NOT overfill the tank. There should be no fuel in the filler neck.
iv.
DO NOT start or operate if spilled gasoline or smell of gasoline is present.
v.
Operate and refuel only in a well ventilated area.
vi. DO NOT store where gasoline vapours can reach:
