SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTION
• Only an approved electrician can make changes to the domestic
wiring system.
• Only an approved electrician can electrically connect the
appliance.
• Make sure that the electrical connection meets national and
local guidelines and standards.
• Always ground the appliance.
• Make sure that the voltage and power on the data plate at the
bottom of the appliance match the main supply values.
• Make sure that the isolating switch, mains socket and mains
plug are within reach of the user.
• Do not connect the appliance to the mains supply via a power
strip or extension cable.
• Do not bend or compress the mains cable.
• Make sure that the mains cable does not touch a drawer.
• Make sure that the bottom surface and the power cord of the
hob are not accessible from the drawers and the cabinets.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTALLATION
• Prevent damage to the appliance. Install the cabinets first.
• Make sure that the worktop is heat-resistant and insulated.
• Make sure that the worktop does not block the ventilation holes
on the outer side of the hob.
• Do not keep flammable objects or material below the appliance.
• Make sure that the bottom of the appliance does not touch the
contents of any drawer or cabinet.
• Do not install the appliance above a dish washer or washing
machine. Steam can cause damage to the appliance.
• Make sure that the worktop is level and stable.
• Only install the appliance above a drawer or an oven with forced
ventilation.
