Operation
5.1
Switching on
•
Set up the voltage supply
– The control unit performs a self-test.
– The display shows the device type set in the system configuration.
– If no system error, alarm or increased wastewater level is detected
<19> (Fig. [4]).
– The control unit is ready for operation.
If no entry is made for a longer period, the display lighting is switched off after 1 minute.
5.2
Switching off
•
Interrupt the voltage supply, the control unit detects the power outage (see also 5.4) and the acoustic power outage
alarm is activated. The control unit is in battery mode.
•
Press the alarm key <20> (Fig. [15]) for approx. 1 second, the (acoustic power outage) alarm is switched off
•
Press the alarm <20> key for longer than 5 seconds and an acoustic signal is heard, the control unit is
switched off
5.3
Acknowledging the alarm
Alarm message in normal operation
If a state occurs which triggers an alarm (e.g. probe fault) this is
indicated as follows:
–
Fault message on the display
–
Alarm LED <20> flashes
–
Acoustic alarm.
The acoustic alarm can be switched off by pressing the Alarm key
<21> (approx. 1 second). This does not yet acknowledge the alarm,
the Alarm LED continues to flash.
After eliminating the reason for the alarm, the alarm message is acknowledged by pressing (for at least 5
seconds) the Alarm key <20>, the Alarm LED and the error message shown in the display goes out.
The message Maintenance due can be switched off by pressing the Alarm key <20> if an automatical
maintenance interval has been entered (menu 2.6). If "Manual maintenance interval" has been selected and set,
the next maintenance date has to be entered.
