ATTENTION! Wood dust is
hazardous to health. Therefore
always work with dust collecting bag
attached or the chip/dust extractor
running.
TIP! For more effective dust
collection, empty the dust
collecting bag frequently. After
working wash out the empty dust
collecting bag with mild soapy water
and allow to dry naturally.
External extraction systems
The appliance can be connected to a
household or industrial vacuum cleaner
via a commercially available suction
hose. The dust extractor must be
suitable for the material to be worked.
When extracting particularly harmful,
carcinogenic, dry dust a special
extractor must be used. For dust
extraction by means of a vacuum cleaner,
if necessary, a suitable vacuum extractor
adapter must be obtained commercially.
ATTENTION! Always ensure
vibrationfree connection to the
external extraction system.
ATTENTION! Find out about any
existing local emission
prevention regulations.

ventilation slits and chip ejector (10) free
from obstructions. Clean with a damp
cloth. Do not use solvents. Then dry
thoroughly.
Transport and storage
ATTENTION! Pull out the power
plug!
For transport and storage, press the
saw head (12) down and lock it in this
position by inserting the locking pin (8)
into the hole in the housing.
Replacing the carbon brushes
Worn carbon brushes cause the
machine to switch off automatically.
Carbon brushes under the motor guard
must always be replaced in pairs by a
specialist. Remove dust on the contacts
with a brush or compressed air.
Saw blades
Uncoated saw blades can be protected
from corrosion by a thin coat of acidfree
oil. Before use, remove the oil, as
otherwise wood may get stained.
Resin and glue residues on the saw
blade impair cutting quality. So clean
saw blade immediately after use.
Noise reduction
The following factors may cause
excessive noise and can be corrected
by appropriate maintenance.
• Dirty, bent or blunt saw blades
• Blocked air vents in the machine
• Insecurely fastened machine parts.
