Installation of the impulse tube
Always connect the impulse tube above to
horizontally (not from below) to the flow
distributor. This prevents any dirt particles
from accumulating in the impulse tube.
1.
Screw the impulse tube to the impulse
tube connection on the Cocon QDP (see
operating instructions for the Cocon QDP
differential pressure regulator).
2.
Screw the impulse tube to the coupling of
the ball valve for the supply pipe (position
8
in Fig. 1 on page 20 or Fig. 2 on page
20).

Commissioning
CAUTION
Risk of scalding due to hot media!
When using the heat meter spacer made of
plastic permanently, tightness is not
guaranteed.

Install a heat meter (see par. 10.1 on
page 26)
or

the stainless steel spacer available as an
accessory (see par. 4.2 on page 23).

Bleeding
NOTICE
Risk of damage due to pressure surge
The abrupt injection of water can lead to
damage.

Always open and close shutoff valves
slowly.
7.1.1
Bleeding of the system
1.
To bleed the system, slowly open the fill
and drain cocks or the vent plug at the
distributor/collector a little (see the
140488480-V01.10.2021
operating instructions for the distributor/
collector you are using).
2.
As soon as water escapes, close the fill
and drain cocks or the vent plug at the
distributor/collector.
7.1.2
Bleeding of the impulse tube
1.
Slightly open the coupling of the impulse
tube at the Cocon QDP until air escapes.
2.
Close the coupling as soon as water
escapes.

Setting of the differential pressure
regulator

Observe the notes in the operating
instructions for your Cocon QDP
differential pressure regulator.
8. Maintenance
Regularly check the tightness and function of
the product and its connection points as part
of system maintenance.
