INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
A) Preparation/safety :
Fill the Quickstop
(p. 2 #8) with water. to do
®
so, release the top section of your Barbecook
by means of the two clips. the water in the
Quickstop
increases your Barbecook
®
stability. this water tray also acts as an ash
collector and puts out the glowing charcoal.
B) Lighting : (see illustration p. 4)
remove the bottom grid (p. 2 #5). take three
double sheets of newspaper and scrumple them
up separately in the form of a torch. fold over
one end on each torch. insert these sheets of
newspaper into the pipe (p. 2 #6) with the
folded ends at the top. return the bottom grid
and cover with dry charcoal (tip : do not use too
much charcoal when lighting -- smaller coals
make the lighting process easier).
All manuals and user guides at all-guides.com
open the air supply with the air control (7) and
light the newspapers through these openings
with the help of a long match. burning paper
is all it takes to light the charcoal. the high
smoke output during the lighting process is
due to the newspaper. after about 15 minutes
your Barbecook
charcoal will then be covered with a fine layer of
grey ashes).
we recommend that you wait to install the
cooking grid (p. 2 #2) on the barbecue until it
is ready for use.
C) First use :
When using your Barbecook
®
we strongly recommend that you leave it to burn
for 30 minutes without cooking meals.
this burn-in period is necessary.
D) Regulating the fire :
the fire intensity can be easily adjusted by
opening or closing the air supply (p. 2 #7).
E) Moving the barbecue :
the accessory bracket (p. 2 #3) has two
additional functions. on the one hand it prevents
you from coming into direct contact with the hot
kettle (p. 2 #4) and on the other hand, after
use and after having removed the grid, you can
put the bracket upright and use it as a handle to
pick up and move the barbecue. this can only be
done once the barbecue has fully cooled.
F) Maintenance
after use, remove the bottom grid (p. 2 #5)
and brush the ashes to the middle of the
®
kettle (p. 2 #4). subsequently release your
Barbecook
's
®
and you can easily discard the water/ashes
mixture in a suitable area.
in order to clean stainless steel or chrome parts,
it is best to avoid aggressive, abrasive or metal
detergents. Use non-aggressive detergents
and allow them to penetrate. always use a soft
sponge or cloth. rinse thoroughly and dry well
before storing the barbecue.
enamelled parts are user-friendly; abrasive
detergents and sponges should not be used.
