Attention! Important mounting instructions. It shows risks to your
life and health.
Demount the foot pegs one by one, so that you are able to check the original mounting at the
other side.
Demount the original foot peg. Remove the split pin or the lock washer and the bearing pin
and remember the position of existing springs, bushings, washers etc. Some models have
riveted foot pegs, so you need to drill out the bearing pin and use the attached bolt and self-
locking nut.
Now mount the LSL-hinge w/o foot peg / w/o adjustable peg bracket in reverse order. Don't
forget to place existing springs, bushings, washers etc. To grease the bearing pin enlarges the
durability.
Following steps only valid for adjustable foot pegs 114...:
Check that adapter is pre-assembled with four pins for distortion locking.
Now place bracket in desired position onto the hinge and ensure safe locking of the pins
and plane touching of bracket and hinge.
Check that bracket has no contact to other parts and fasten it with countersunk screw
M6 (Torque: 9Nm). Mount the bolt M6 with medium thread locking adhesive (e. g.
Loctite 243).
Now fit the foot pegs on hinge / bracket, using the bolt M5 (Torque: 5Nm). Mount the bolt M5
with medium thread locking adhesive (e. g. Loctite 243).
Following instructions only valid for adjustable foot pegs 114...:
Check seating position before first ride and ensure that no parts of exhaust
system are touched by your feet! Also check save operation of brake pedal and
shifter and adjust these levers, if necessary, according to the vehicle
manufacturer's instruction.
