The eBike can then only be switched on when the fol-
lowing requirements are met:
– A sufficiently charged eBike battery is inserted (see
operating instructions for the eBike battery of the
system generation the smart system).
– The speed sensor is connected properly (see oper-
ating instructions for the drive unit of the system
generation the smart system).
Operating unit power supply (System
Controller)
If a sufficiently charged eBike battery is inserted into
the eBike and the eBike is switched on, the internal
battery of the operating unit is powered and charged.
Please contact your bicycle dealer if the internal bat-
tery of the operating unit is defective.
Operating Unit (Mini Remote/Mini Remote
Dropbar) Power Supply
The Mini Remote/Mini Remote Dropbar operating
unit is supplied with energy by a CR1620 coin cell.
Replacing the Coin Cell (Mini Remote/Mini
Remote Dropbar)
If the coin cell in the Mini Remote/Mini Remote
Dropbar (1) operating unit is low, the LED indicator
light (3) flashes orange.
To replace the coin cell, remove the Mini Remote/
Mini Remote Dropbar operating unit from the han-
dlebars. Remove the rubber insert (9). Remove the
used coin cell and insert a new CR1620 battery in the
battery holder. Close the battery compartment by the
rubber insert (9). Check that the rubber insert (9) is
correctly inserted to ensure the battery compartment
is fully sealed. If the coin cell is correctly inserted, the
LED indicator light (3) flashes green. Then secure the
Mini Remote/Mini Remote Dropbar operating unit
back onto the handlebars.
Note: The connection to the System Controller is
not interrupted when the coin cell is replaced.

Switching the eBike on/off
To switch on the eBike, briefly press the on/off but-
ton (12). After the start animation, the state of
charge of the eBike battery is displayed in color with
the battery charge indicator (13) and the set assis-
tance level with the indicator (10). The eBike is ready
to ride.
The display brightness is controlled by the ambient
light sensor (11). Therefore, do not cover the ambi-
ent light sensor (11).
The drive is activated as soon as you start pedaling
(except at assistance level OFF). The drive output de-
pends on the settings of the assistance level.
As soon as you stop pedaling when in normal opera-
tion, or as soon as you have reached a speed of
20/28 mph, the drive switches off the assistance.
The drive is automatically re-activated as soon you
start pedaling again and the speed is below
20/28 mph.
To switch off the eBike, press the on/off button (12)

If no power is requested from the drive for approx.

and no button is pressed, the eBike switches off auto-
matically.
