14. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
1. When the safety button
is pressed, the blue
light does not light up
2. When the safety button
is pressed, the blue light
does not light up, the
control light flashes
3. The motor shuts down
whilst working
4. With the throttle lock button
and throttle trigger lever on,
the chain does not turn
5. The chain heats and
emits smoke on the
end part of the bar.
6. The motor runs irregularly
and lacks power when revved
7. Excessive noise and/or
vibration is experienced
whilst working
8. Battery power reserve is low
PROBABLE CAUSE
Battery is not inserted or
is inserted incorrectly
Low battery
Battery is not inserted correctly
Machine damaged
Excessive chain tensioning

Machine damaged.

Lubricant oil tank empty.

Loose or damaged parts

SOLUTION
Make sure that the battery is
inserted correctly (par. 7.2.3)
Check the battery
status and recharge if
necessary (par. 7.2.2)
Make sure that the battery is
inserted correctly (par. 7.2.3).
Do not use the machine.
Remove the battery and
Contact an Authorised
Service Centre.
Retension the chain (par. 6.1.4).
Check that the chain runs
freely and the bar guides are
not deformed (par. 8.3).
Do not use the machine.
Immediately turn off
the machine

Fill the lubricant oil
tank (par. 7.3).

– have any damaged parts
replaced or repaired with
parts having equivalent
specifications.
