5.4.3 Automatic Mode

5.4.3.1 Distance and Diameter Automatic Entry with
measuring arm
• Make sure that the measuring arm is in rest position.
• Correctly position the measuring arm on rim, so
that its reference point touches the rim reference
point, as shown by the arrow (Fig. 5-8). Keep arm
in measuring position until a short beep is heard to
indicate that the value has been acquired.
WARNING:
With laser pointer enabled, gauge arm must be
positioned on the left compared to the desired weight

5.8.1.2).
Laser pointer can be disabled and only the measuring
arm can be used.
Note: a result recalculation can be performed by the
machine only after the run.
Select weight application positions by pressing on the
screen:

To shift to a different balancing Mode.
If more than one wheel of the same type need to be
balanced (with the same nominal dimensions) the data
must only be set for the fi rst wheel. The selections
stay set until other new data are set or the machine
is switched off.
The alternative combinations vary based on the
starting measuring positions. The unbalance values
will automatically adapt to the new selections.
5.4.3.2 Width Automatic Entry
The machines featuring a Sonar detector automatically
acquire the width while wheel protection moves down
(Fig. 5-9).
• Lower the protection with a regular and continuous
movement.
Important warning:
For machines without SONAR, width must be
always acquired through the keyboard.
Note:
If more than one wheel of the same type need

stay set until other new data are set or the machine is
switched off.
