Chop cutting
The cutting head is gently pushed down to cut through the workpiece.
1. Place the workpiece on the rotary table and against the fence in the desired position. Secure appropriately with clamp.
2. Grasp the handle.
3. Turn on the motor, allow the blade to reach full operating speed.
4. Press and hold the cutting head release lever to release the cutting head.
5. Gently lower the cutting head to its lowest position, cutting through the workpiece.
6. After the cut is completed, turn of the motor by releasing the trigger switch. Allow the blade to come to a complete stop. Allow the cutting head to rise to
its upper position.
7. Only remove your hands or the workpiece from the tool when the cutting head is in its upper position with the blade teeth completely covered by the
retracting blade guard.
Angle cutting
Rotary table
Any angle from 45° left to 45° right is available, and a miter angle scale can be found on the front of the rotary table.
Positive stops are provided for every 5° of angular movement.
NOTE: The rotary table must always be locked into position with the miter angle locking screw even if a stop is selected.

ON/OFF switch
The ON/OFF switch controls the tool's activation and deactivation. The ON/OFF buttons are located
on the front left side of the handle. There are two distinctly different coloured buttons for each
function:
• The green button, marked with the "I" symbol. It represents "ON". When the plug is connected
to the socket, press the button down and the tool will enter its working position.
• The red button, marked with the "O" symbol. It represents "OFF". Press the button down and
the tool will stop working.
Making a cut
Press the switch to ON position. The power tool is now running. Slightly push down on the handle
at the same time.
Before attempting a cut, press down the green button (ON) and press the cutting head release lever
down. Do not apply too much pressure on the handle, press it slowly, and make sure that you can
see the blade.
When you want to stop the cutting operation, realease the handle.
1. Unscrew the miter angle locking screw. This is found at the front right hand side of the table's
base near the 35° index mark.
2. Turn the rotary table to the required angle. To aid in setting, an index mark is machined into the
table just in front of the table insert.
3. Tighten the miter angle locking screw securely when the desired angle has been selected.
