When assembling heavy
valves, only use suitable
lifting equipment and
slings. Use protective
equipment.
Attach slings for lifting the
fittings to the housing body
only.
Do not use attached parts
such as handwheels and
metering valves as
connection points for
lifting equipment.
Wear personal safety
equipment (e.g. safety
boots).
CAUTION
Risk of injury
on sharp edges!
Where applicable, wear
safety gloves when
assembling and
disassembling the valve.

3.4 Personnel
Qualifications
The heating, gas, and water
technician must be capable of
working on heating and air con-
ditioning systems based on spe-
cialist training, experience, and
knowledge of the corresponding
standards. They must be able to
recognize potential risks on their
own.
3.4.1 Safety Equipment
Personal safety equipment (e.g.
safety glasses, gloves, safety
boots) should be used for all
work.
