Cleaning
Use warm water and mild
detergent to clean the exterior
of the DIGICAT.
Do not use other cleaning
agents as the plastic parts or
labelling could be affected.
Wipe off splashes of cement,
en
plaster, etc., as quickly as
possible, using water and a
damp cloth or sponge.
The DIGICAT contains static sensi-
tive components
Do not attempt any internal repairs on
your unit. Opening the sensor will void
the warranty.
Servicing
Laser Alignment recommends that the
DIGICAT be returned to them or one
of their authorised service centres to
checked and calibrated annually.
Storage
When storing the equipment,
particularly in summer and
inside a vehicle, take the tem-
perature limits (-40°C to
+70°C / -40°F to +158°F) into
account.
If the tool has become wet, dry
off the tool and accessories (at
maximum 40 ºC / 108ºF) and
clean.
After longer periods of storage
or transport carry out a func-
tional check before using the
equipment.

Remove the batteries if the tool
is to be stored for longer peri-
ods of time. Avoid extreme
temperatures that can cause
battery degradation and early
failure of the batteries.
Transport
Although the DIGICAT is ex-
tremely robust is prudent to
ensure that the tool is trans-
ported in such a way as to
prevent damage. Never trans-
port the tool loose inside the
vehicle. Blows and vibrations
can damage the tool. It must
always be properly secured
within the vehicle.
When returning to Laser Align-
ment or one of their dealers for
service, by road, rail, aircraft or
ship, use the original packag-
ing (shipping box) where pos-
sible, if not use other suitable
packaging, securing the tool
against blows and vibrations.
You must remove the batteries
(send the tool without batter-
ies).
