5.3.5.2. Parallel signal wiring.
Fig. 49. Parallel signal connection diagram.
Remove the cover of the parallel slot, connect the optional
card
(Fig. 14 ), connect each UPS one by one with the parallel cable
and check that the cable is firmly screwed to the parallel port,
as shown below:
Fig. 50. Parallel signal cable connection.
It is recommended to lock the parallel cable with the
supplied lock (as shown above in the figure on the right) to
prevent unexpected pulling on the parallel ports and faults in the
parallel system.
5.3.5.3. Parallel system operation.
To configure the UPS system in parallel, follow the following
procedure:
Raise the input circuit breakers of all the UPS in the parallel
1.
system.
Press and hold the power button
2.
for the set to start up and enter online mode.
Regulate the output voltage of each UPS separately and check
3.
if the output voltage difference is less than 0.5 V between the
units in the parallel system. If the difference is greater than
0.5 V, the voltage of the UPS must be regulated.
If the output voltage difference is less than 0.5 V, by holding
4.
down the button of one of the UPS in the system, it will shut
down. Lower the input circuit breakers to allow the UPS to shut
down. Then raise the output circuit breakers of all the UPS.
Raise the input circuit breakers of the UPS system in parallel.
5.
By holding down the power button
the whole system will start up and enter online mode, thus the
system will operate in parallel operation.

5.3.6. Connection of communication ports.
5.3.6.1. RS232 and USB.
The communications line (COM) consists of a very low
voltage safety circuit. To ensure the quality, it must be
installed separately from other lines that carry dangerous voltages
(power distribution line).
The RS232 interface is useful for updating the firmware, while the
USB is for monitoring software.
It is not possible to use the RS232 and USB ports at the same time.
The DB9 connector supplies the RS232 signals and the normally
open (NO) potential-free contacts via relays.
The maximum voltage and current applicable to these contacts will
be 30 V DC and 1 A.
The RS232 port consists of serial data transmission, so a large
amount of information can be sent via a communication cable of
just 3 wires.
The USB communication port is compatible with the USB 1.1
protocol for communication software.
