A. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Assembly
Once you have unpacked your machine, check to make sure that there are no damaged or broken parts.
If there are, have these replaced by original components. Should they be electrical components,
exchange them for officially authorised apparatuses with the same reference number (if in doubt,
consult the manufacturer).
Applications
The general purpose of the Cutter DJ-130 is to cut asphalt and cement, whether it is wet or dry, it has an
explosion motor, a 13 CV petrol tank, that by means of a driving belt activates a diamond disk which is
cooled with water.
B. STARTING THE MACHINE
Items to be checked before starting the machine
Before using this machine, verify that no parts are worn out, damaged or broken. Should you find any
part that is not in proper condition, have it repaired or replaced immediately.
If the motor doesn't have oil, you should fill it up to the maximum mark.
If the machine is used without oil, it will permanently and irreversibly damage the motor.
Fill the fuel deposit with ONLY unleaded Super.
If fuel is spilt on the machine, dry it with a cloth and wait a few minutes until it is totally evaporated.
Check that the disk is correctly assembled. (fig. 2)
Check that the disk lid is correctly fastened using its handles. (fig. 1)
It is essential that there is a supply of water to the disk, either from the water deposit supplied with the
machine or from an outside water source. (fig. 3, 4)
C. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1.-
To install the disk you have to remove the safety cap. You will see the axis of the disk. Mount the
disk between the plates making sure the turning direction coincides with the one marked on the
machine and screw on tightly the fastening nut, as shown in the diagram. (fig. 1, 2)
2.-
It essential that you fill the water deposit in order to supply water to cool the disk or connect the
machine to the water network.
3.-
The machine moves on wheels covered in soft rubber to improve the grip on the cutting surface,
the work should be carried out on flat surfaces.
4.-
Changing the direction of the machine, for whatever reason, should be done with the disk raised
up. This is possible by using the disk raising system. (fig. 9)
5.-
The machine's raising system is based on a crank and axle, with which the position of the disk in
relation to the cutting surface can be varied. (fig. 9)
6.-
Regulating the height of the blade is controlled by a meter that shows the approximate height of
the blade with respect to the cutting surface, in millimetres. (fig.10)
7.-
The guiding pointer is used to guide the machine and can be adjusted according to necessity in
relation to the outer edges of the chassis, which is the position of the cutting disk. (fig. 8)
8.-
Follow the instructions supplied by the manufacturer for the motor in the information pamphlet
attached.
9.-
Once you have started the motor, give it a few minutes to establish itself, before beginning to cut
the ground surface turn on the tap that supplies the water to the disk. (fig. 11)
10.- To cut correctly, the forward movement of the machine should be continuous, without forcing
D. SAFETY MEASURES
1.-
Do not adjust the carburettor, unless it's done by the official technical service.
2.-
With the motor and gears do not handle the sparkplug cable, there is a risk of electric SHOCK.
3.-
Do not smoke or light a flame or fire when filling the deposit with fuel.
4.-
Do not touch the accessible parts of the motor or exhaust, when the machine is running or is still
hot. There is a risk of burns.
5.-
The combustion gasses are toxic due to the emission of carbon monoxide.
6.-
Do not leave it outside without protection against the rain.
7.-
Do not clean with blasts of water (hose).
8.-
Make sure when transporting the machine it is not placed upside down.
9.-
Do not permit people, especially children, not related with the work to touch the machine and
extendable cords and keep them away from the work area.
10.- Keep the work area well lit.
11.- Do not use the machine in the presence of flammable liquids or gasses.
12.- Store the machine when it is not being used, in a dry, closed place, out of the reach of children.
13.- This machine complies with the Machine Safety Directive 89/392 CEE, including the modifications
and additions in the Directive 91/368 CEE y 93/44 CEE.
E. MAINTENANCE
Cleaning and maintenance
1.-
For maintenance consult the manual of the motor manufacturer.
2.-
Before doing any maintenance stop the motor.
3.-
Before starting the machine it is important to check the oil level in the motor.
4.-
If it necessary to work on the driving belt guy, unscrew the fastening screw from the belt lid, and work directly on it, making sure the belt is tense. When finished re-fasten the lid, with the screws. (fig. 15, 16)

Recommendations concerning the work area
Pay close attention to the state of the area where the job is to be done. Keep it clean and well lit. The
machine should be kept clean at all times in order to ensure optimum performance and the safest
working conditions.
Starting the motor:
1.- Make sure the petrol deposit is filled with enough fuel.
2.- Open the petrol valve. (fig. 5A)
3.- Close the air valve. (fig. 5B)
4.- Pull the starter cord vigorously. (fig. 6).
5.- After a few minutes open the air valve (fig. 7). (The time will depend on the surrounding
temperature.)
The area to be cut should be previously marked (straight lines), and free of any obstructions.
Position the pointer well on the marked area. (fig. 8)
the motor. An incorrect action could seriously deteriorate the disk and cause an accident. In case
it is necessary, the machine can be stopped with the emergency stop button.
11.- To transport the machine fasten it using the points designed for this purpose. (fig. 12)
12.- Do not use cracked or scratched diamond disks. (fig. 13)
13.- Do not brake the disk by applying lateral pressure.
14.- Read these instructions carefully before using this product and keep them in a safe place.
15.- Keep the cutting tools clean for better and safer use:
-Follow the instructions to change the accessories.
-Periodically examine the machines cables and if they are damaged repair them in the authorized
technical service.
-Keep handles dry, clean and free from grease and oil.
-Remove adjustment keys and tools before starting the machine.
17.- Make sure the emergency switch is in the "open" position when you start the machine. (fig. 14)
18.- Before using the machine again it should be checked carefully to make sure it will work properly
and that it is appropriate for that particular job. A safety devise or other part that is damaged
should be repaired or replaced by the authorised technical service, unless something else is
indicated in this instruction manual. Do not use this machine if the switch doesn't turn on or off
properly.
14.- Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery objects that could get caught in the moving parts. Anti-
slip footwear is recommended when working outside. Use safety hats for long hair.
15.- Use safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and a mask to avoid the dust if the work is dusty.
Never pull the electricity cord to unplug it. Keep the cord away from heat, oil and the cutting
edges.
16.- Maintain a firm support on the ground and keep the machine balanced at all times.
17.- Watch what you are doing, use your common sense and do not use the machine when you are
tired.
18.- The use of any accessory or complement different from those recommended in this instruction
manual could cause the risk of personal injury.
19.- This tool fulfils the appropriate safety requisites. Repairs should only be made by qualified
personal using original parts, not doing this could cause considerable harm to the user.
