Replace the PA IGBT and Gate-drive wire
1. Remove and discard the old PA IGBT Gate-drive wire.
2. Remove and discard the 2 M6 machine screws that attach the PA IGBT to the heatsink and the 2 M5 machine
screws that attach the power board to the PA IGBT. Remove the power board to access the PA IGBT.
3. Remove and discard the old PA IGBT.
4. Remove any thermal grease from the heat sink using isopropyl alcohol.
5. Apply a paper thin coat of new thermal grease (included in the kit) evenly to the PA IGBT mounting surface.
6. Install the PA IGBT to the heat sink, as shown. Hand tighten the 2 new M6 machine screws into the mounting holes.
NOTE: Torque the screws to 35 in-lb. When mounting the PA IGBT to the heatsink, do not apply any sudden
torque (one-sided tightening) to the screws. If sudden torque is applied at only one mounting hole, the
ceramic installation plate or silicone chip inside the PA IGBT may be damaged.
7. Attach the power board to the new PA IGBT using the 2 new M5 machine screws included in the kit.
NOTE: Torque the screws to 20 in-lb.
8. Clean excess grease from the heat sink.
9. Install the new PA IGBT Gate-drive wire to the PA IGBT and to the power board.
