 LIME SCALE REMOVAL

To maintain your Espresso machine in perfect condition you should carry out this lime
scale removal procedure 1-3 times a year, depending on the lime content of your
water.
o
We recommend that you use our lime scale removal product Calc Clean 2000. (1 litre
bottles, Art.No. 226.900.0006).

Pull out the mains supply plug.

Take off the infusion mesh (16) (undo the screw).

Pour limescale removal solution (according to the instructions on the packaging)
into the water tank (9).

Place a vessel under the infusion head (16)

Before you switch the appliance on, make sure that the steam/coffee switch (3)
is set to the "OFF" position  (Fig. B).

Plug the appliance back in and heat up using the On/Off switch (1).

Turn the steam/coffee switch (3) to the left, for coffee, and let the limescale
removal solution flow out through the infusion head (16).

Turn the steam/coffee switch (3) back to the right.

Switch off the machine by pressing the On/Off switch (1) and allow the solution
to act for ca. 5 minutes.

Repeat this procedure two or three times until the entire contents of the water
tank containing the limescale removal product has flowed through the infusion
head.

After limescale removal, rinse out the water tank (9) thoroughly and then fill with
fresh water.

Heat up the appliance once more using the On/Off switch (1) and rinse it out well
by turning the steam/coffee switch (3) to the left. (ca. 1 litre of fresh water)

Pull out the mains supply plug. Leave the machine for ca. 1 hour to cool down
and then reinsert the infusion head (16).

Your coffee machine is once more ready for use.
