been selected, the pre-mixing speed remains
to be selected (150 - 250 min
by briefly pressing the turning-pushing knob.
6. Next there is the possibility of evacuating the
material to be mixed prior to the mixing pro-
gB
cedure proper without stirring. Pre-evacuation
can be turned off or on, entering the pre-eva-
cuation time (2 - 60 seconds). Adjust by turn-
ing the turning-pushing knob (B) and confirm
by pressing briefly.
7. The interval time is the parameter indicating
after how many seconds the direction is to be
changed during the mixing process.
8. To let the material rest some time after mixing
(e. g. for degassing of investment materials),
the re-evacuation parameter can be set to a
time from 5 - 30 seconds.
9. Enter the program name into the last field. To
this end, again turn the turning-pushing knob
(B) until the desired letter is found. Confirm
the selected letter by briefly pressing the
turning-pushing knob (B), and the cursor will
automatically advance to the next position.
Names comprising up to 12 letters can be stored.
After entering the program name, exit the pro-
gramming level by pressing the turning-pus-
hing knob for 1.5 seconds. The program is
stored, and the mixing process can be started.

The preliminary filter is inside the suction nozzle.
The main filter inside the unit and the preliminary
filter protect the vacuum pump against possible
contamination. Regular inspection of the pre-filter
is important. When the filter is soiled, it must be
changed. For changing the filter, pull it off down-
wards and clip on the new pre-filter.
Never operate the Smartmix X2 without a
preliminary filter!
Like most AmannGirrbach equipment, the Smart-
mix X2 is designed to be maintenance-free and
includes a maintenance-free vacuum pump.
Simply keep the unit clean. The sealing surfaces
of the suction nozzle and lid must be kept
p articularly clean to ensure that the vacuum is
optimum. The seal can be kept supple by coating
it periodically with a thin coat of Vaseline or
similar grease.
