Parameter correction and water balancing only work when an existing pool
stored in the database is activated and the minimum criteria for the pool config-
uration are satisfied. A customer can be activated by using the "Find customer"
button .
In manual mode, after setting the start parameters, the user can change up or
down the pH or Total Alkalinity (TA), the Calcium Hardness (CH) and/or increase
the Cyanuric Acid (CA) concentration. Provided that all necessary parameter
values are available, the Langelier Saturation Index (SI) is calculated continuously
when changes in one of the values occur. Scrollbars and textboxes can be used
to alter parameter values.
Once the target values (final parameters) are achieved a simple click on the
"Show product dosage" button will open a new window with the dosage in-
structions. It may be that before the dosage instructions appear, the user is asked
to make a choice of products if for a particular purpose two or more products
are available.
In automatic mode, the software will try to restore the water balance, which
consists in trying to get SI to zero or a value as close as possible to zero. It will
take into account the parameter boundaries set in the "General configuration"
module and the availability and possible choice of products. After setting the
start parameters and clicking on the "Restore balance" button, a new window
will open with dosage instructions or information about the failure to improve
the water balance.
In the lower half of the window a tab control gives access to information divided
into three tab pages, respectively named "Test series" (shown in the picture
above), "Swimming pool" and "Product availability".
