Test results that have been imported and saved once will be rejected any time
after. This prevents tests that have not been deleted in the photometer to be
stored more than once by the application.
Test results are allocated to a particular customer and pool, based on the
6 digit customer / pool number stored in the photometer. The first four
digits represent the customer ID number and the last 2 digits the pool ID
number. Example: Code number 000101 represents measurement results for
customer 1 with pool number 1.
When a test value is imported from the photometer into the application, the
software checks whether the imported customer / pool number corresponds to
an existing customer ID and pool ID in the application. If not, it will warn the
user. This leaves the user with 2 choices:
a) closing the data import window without saving the test values and series.
In that case, the user can still add the missing customer and/or pool and re-
import the tests later successfully.
b) saving the data. In which case, the tests for which the software had not
found a suitable a customer / pool number will be lost in the sense that they
will be rejected in a subsequent data import operation.
