Maintenance and care

Warning
Unexpectedly fast-moving payloads and unintentional movements.
Risk of crushing and material damage.
• Switch off the power to the motor controller when conducting any work on the
HGPLE.
• Safeguard the motor controller from being switched on again unintentionally.
• Lubricate the HGPLE at the guide of the gripper jaws every 2 million switching cycles.
Permissible grease: Molykote BR 2 plus.
• Shorten the lubricating interval if at least one of the following occurs:
– High thermal load
– Heavy contamination
– Proximity of grease-dissolving liquids or vapours.
• If necessary, clean the HGPLE with a soft, dry cloth.

• Recommendation: Send the HGPLE to the Festo repair service.
