Description:
Installation set "Unibox E vario" as basic model for limiting the temper-
ature of heating surfaces with return temperature limiter, a simple up-
grade will make it suitable for room temperature control. The set con-
sists of:
Wall unit with presettable thermostatic radiator valve and integrated
return temperature limiter, venting and flushing valve, cover plate;
valve connection G 3 ⁄ for Oventrop compression fittings.

Applications:
Return temperature is limited with the help of the integrated return
temperature limiter.
To operate it as temperature control, the "Unibox E vario" has two
options for completion (items to be ordered separately):
1. With room thermostat and electrothermal actuator
The electrothermal actuator is mounted on the vertical connection of
the "Unibox E vario".
To lead the connection cable towards the room thermostat, drill a hole
(Ø about 8 mm) at the marked point (sticker) on the outer wall of the
wall unit.
Electrical connections, especially in humid locations, must be carried
out in accordance with the requirement of the local Electricity Board.
Temperature range: 25-30°C (room temperature)
20-40°C (return temperature)
2. With thermostat with remote control "Uni LH"
The remote control is mounted on the vertical valve connection inside
the "Unibox E vario".
The capillary to the room temperature sensor can be lead downwards
out of the "Unibox E vario". Feeding it through a conduit is recommend-
ed.
Temperature range: 27-28°C (room temperature)
20-40°C (return temperature)
Without these additions to the basic model, the regulation of the
"Unibox E vario" corresponds to that of the "Unibox E RTL". The
presettable valve insert offers the possibility of hydronic balancing.

Installation and assembly:
When using the floor as surface heating, the lower edge of the "Unibox
E vario" should be at least 20 cm above the finished floor, the front
edge should be on the same level as the finished wall. The thickness of
plaster and tiles has to be observed.
The position of the "Unibox E vario" and the room temperature sensor
has to be chosen so that an influence by auxiliary energy sources is
avoided.
The wall unit is to be installed with the opening pointing downwards.
Align and fix with enclosed brackets. They can be fitted at the side of
the wall unit in different positions.
The wall unit should be fitted permanently into the wall. A protection
cover made of corrugated cardboard serves to protect the valve.
For a simple installation of the vertical pipework, place the pie conduit
unit item no. 1022650 into the wall below the wall unit, shorten if
required. Later, the front cover of the pipe conduit unit will be under
plaster.
If required, use a conduit for the connection cable between the room
thermostat and the actuator or for the capillary of the thermostat with
remote control.
