1. GENERAL
The pump should only be installed and commissioned by a qualified
person.

1.2 Range of uses
The TP-MINI pumps are intended for pumping clean or slightly dirty
water and clean liquids (with a specific gravity close to that of
water) from vats, tanks and reservoirs or other vessels containing a
maximum of 6 mm of solid material.
They are used mainly :
• For dewatering of cellars, private works,
• For drainage of flooted basement,
• Sprinking, irrigation,
• For dewatering of swimming pool,
These pumps must not be used :
• For pumping dirty water or sewage,
• In areas where there is a risk of explosion,
The pumps can be installed permanently or temporarily.

2. SAFETY
These instructions contain essential safety procedures, which must
be followed when assembling and commissioning the pump. Both
installer and user should read them carefully and MUST read them
before assembling and commissioning. This applies not only to the
general instructions in this section, but also to the specific instructions
in the paragraphs below.

2.3 Safety instructions for the user
Follow these instructions to avoid any risk of accident.
Do not take risks with electricity.
Obey electrical standards in force.
2.4 Modifications to the equipment and use of unauthorised spares
No modifications should be made to the pump or the installation
without prior permission from the manufacturer.
The use of genuine spares and accessories authorised by the
manufacturer guarantees your safety. SALMSON take no
responsibility if you use other spares.
2.5 Unauthorised use
The safety of the pump or the installation supplied is only
guaranteed if the instructions in Chapter 1 of the user manual are
followed. The values given in the catalogue or the technical sheet
should not in any circumstances be exceeded, upwards or
downwards.
3. HANDLING - STORAGE - POSITIONING
Never carry the pump by its electric cable –
CAUTION !
there is a risk of water getting in by capillary
action. Use the handle. The pump should only be carried by the
handle provided. The pump should be protected against
mechanical damage caused by knocks and bumps.
