Built-in Fuse / Calibration Interval
Only use accumulators as described in the tech-
nical data section!
Please consider your environment when you
dispose of your one-way batteries or accumu-
lators. They belong in a rubbish dump for haz-
ardous waste. In most cases, the batteries can
be returned to their point of sale.
Please, comply with the respective valid regu-
lation regarding the return, recycling and dis-
posal of used batteries and accumulators..
If an instrument is not used over an extended time
period, the accumulators or batteries must be re-
moved. Should the instrument be contaminated by
leaking battery cells, the instrument has to be re-
turned for cleaning and inspection to the factory.

14.0 Built-in Fuse
The built-in fuse protects the Low Ohm function if
the instrument is connected to voltage during run-
ning measurement. This fuse may also trip if volt-
ages > 600 V AD/DC are connected to the measure-
ment instrument.
The fuse replacement may only be carried out
by authorised staff.
Exclusively use fuses of voltage, current and
breaking capacity values in compliance with
the technical data section.
Using temporary fuses, in particular short-cir-
cuiting fuse holders is prohibited and can
cause instrument destruction or serious bodi-
ly injury of operator.
Prior to fuse replacement disconnect the in-
strument from all measurement circuits and
test leads.
14.1 Error Message after Fuse Tripping
If the message 'Fus' appears on the LCD during the
measurement in the Low Ohm function, the fuse has
tripped and must be replaced. Please contact our re-
pair service department.
14.2 Description of Appropriate Fuse
Fuse Type F 500 mA / 500 V, 6.3 x 32 mm
15.0 Calibration Interval
The instrument has to be periodically calibrated
by our service department in order to ensure the
specified accuracy of the measurement results.
We recommend a calibration interval of two
years.
