The KNX
Niko dimmer switch (360-31001) provides four contacts. These are grouped into two channels (channel A and channel B) each containing two contacts (state O and state I). The contacts are referred to as AO,
®
AI, BO and BI.
Multiple radio telegrams with the state of all four contacts are transmitted whenever the energy bow is pushed together with one of the four contacts. No telegram is sent when the energy bow is released. This means that
a second push is needed to stop an action with one button dimming or one button shutter control. Use the KNX

bus telegrams.
Up to six button combinations can be configured with the KNX
The KNX
dimmer switch has two modes: normal mode (default) and configuration mode. To configure the KNX

1. Download the ETS files for the KNX
2. Configure the dimmer switch using a computer and the ETS5 software.
• Assign each dimmer switch to an RF line medium. The ETS software will automatically assign a domain address that identifies the KNX
