7. RADIO PLANNING GUIDE
As a rule of thumb, try to achieve a direct line of sight between the Niko dimmer switch and the KNX
the wall(s) as straight as possible. We recommend using a KNX
KNX RF repeater (max. 2).

The maximum indoor RF range depends on:
• The building or room size
• The materials used in the building or room (Radio waves are attenuated by indoor materials.) (see §1 below)
• The position of the dimmer switch and media coupler (see §2 below)
• Sources of interferences or dead spots caused by radio reflections from nearby conductive materials. (see §3 below)
