action
Mount the central plate (XXX-00060). This has to be ordered separately
Rotate the switching module 180° according to the direction of the arrow on the label (see § Installation)
Configure the Niko dimmer switch with the relevant communication objects and parameters using the ETS5
software and the ETS product file
Install the Niko dimmer switch closer to the media coupler or use an RF repeater (max. 2) (see § Radio
planning guide)
Reposition the Niko dimmer switch or use an RF repeater (max. 2) (see § Radio planning guide, Position)
Reposition the Niko dimmer switch or media coupler, remove the interfering device or use an RF repeater
(max. 2) (see § Radio planning guide, Sources of interference)
Test the Niko dimmer switch and replace it when it turns out to be defect. Troubleshoot with a reference
dimmer switch that is located next to the suspected one and the ETS5 diagnostics tool. Each dimmer switch
is pressed separately. When the suspected dimmer switch measures a significant range loss, compared to
the reference dimmer switch, then it is faulty. A difference of one meter or less is not critical.
Test the media coupler and replace it should it be defective. Troubleshoot with the ETS5 diagnostics tool
and a reference media coupler used instead of the potentially defective media coupler. Note that only one
media coupler can be used in one RF line.
