PRE-OPERATION INSPECTION

ENGINE OIL
CAUTION! Use 4-stroke engine oil, API service classification SE class or equivalent. Check the API service
label on the oil container to be sure it includes the letters SE class or equivalent.
SAE 10W-30 is recommended for general use. Other viscosities shown in the chart may be used when the average
temperature in your area is within the indicated range.
OIL LEVEL CHECK
1. Remove the dipstick and clean it.
2. Reinsert the dipstick into the oil filling hole without screwing it in, remove the dipstick and
check the oil level.
3. If the oil level is too low, add the recommended engine oil up to the oil filling neck.
4. Reinstall the dipstick.
Engine Oil Alarm
The engine oil alarm is designed to function when the engine oil in the crankcase is insufficient. Lack of engine
oil may damage the engine. Once the oil level in the crankcase is too low, the engine oil alarm will stall the engine
automatically to reduce damage while the engine switch is in the On position.
NOTE: If you cannot restart the engine, check the engine oil level first.
CAUTION! Running with insufficient engine oil may damage the gasoline engine severely which is not covered
by the warranty.
AIR FILTER
Dismantle the air filter cover and check its element to make sure it is clean and is in good operation. Clean or
replace as necessary.
CAUTION! Never run the engine without an air filter, or severe wear of the engine may result, which is not
covered by the warranty.
