TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
Transport with the fuel valve turned to the Off position. Transport or store the engine when it is cool so as to avoid
burns or fire.
CAUTION! Spilled fuel or fuel vapour may ignite and cause a fire.
If engine is not kept in use for a long time, be sure to store it properly.
The pump should not be stored outside; the pump could get damaged from rain and ice. Keep the pump in a cool,
dry place. Do not store the pump in direct sunlight.
1. Make sure the storage area is dry and free of dust.
2. Turn the fuel valve to the Off position, place a container under the carburetor (as shown in figure 15).
3. Open the fuel valve to completely drain the gasoline out of the fuel tank.
4. Reinstall the drain plug and tighten it.
WARNING! Fuel is extremely flammable and explosive under certain conditions. Keep smoke, fire and spark
away from the operating site.
5. Drain the oil out of the gasoline engine.
6. Remove the spark plug. Add approximately 1 tablespoon of fresh engine oil onto the cylinder. Crank the
engine to distribute the engine oil evenly. Reinstall the spark plug.
7. Electric Starter: Remove the battery and store in a dry and cool area. Charge the battery once every month.
8. Cover the engine to prevent dust from entering into the components.
