Using Your Scale

If not using the USB to
power the scale, you may
use a 9-volt battery
(not included).
Weighing an Item
Place an item on the scale platform.
If using a large envelope, lift the top of the scale platform to a 90-degree
position and place the envelope in an upright position on the platform.
Using the Hold Button
If your item is large enough to cover the display, you can use the Hold
button to freeze the display so that the item's weight remains displayed
after removing it from the scale. Here's how:
Changing the Units of Measurement
Default unit of measure is pounds and ounces. It can be switched to kilograms and grams by pressing the Mode button.
Using the Zero Button
The Zero button let you use a container for weighing small or otherwise
difficult-to-weight items without also including the container's weight in
your final weight reading. Here's how:
1. Place your empty container on the platform.
2. When the scale's weight reading is stable, press the Zero button.
The display will set to zero (0.0).
