1. Refer to the filter installation and maintenance section to make sure the correct filters are installed for
your cleaning operation.
2. Replace tank cover on tank. Apply pressure with thumbs to each clamp until it snaps
into place. Make sure both clamps are clamped securely.
3. Insert hose collar into threaded cover inlet and tighten. Do not over-tighten.
4. Loosen the harness shoulder straps and hip belt.
5. In an open area lift the unit by a shoulder strap and slide your arm through the strap.
Then place your other arm through the other shoulder strap.
6. Wrap the hip belt around your waste and secure with belt clip.
7. Tighten the hip belt securely and make sure the weight is evenly distributed on your
hips. Adjust shoulder straps for a proper fit.
8. Place cord between the hip belt's strap and padded area to signal when you have run
out of cord while vacuuming. NOTE: The ON/OFF switch can be conveniently placed on
left side of hip belt for easy access.
9. Place hose cuff over wand.
10. Insert wand ends together until metal push button locks.
11. Attach dual surface-selector nozzle to wand end. NOTE: To use other accessories, install
1 ½" accessory adapter on positive lock end of wand and insert accessory into acces-
sory adapter.

12. Plug the cord into the wall outlet. Your cleaner is ready for use.

BEFORE REMOVING THE TANK COVER.
NOTICE: Auto Re-Setting Thermal Motor Protective Device.
This feature protects the motor by shutting off the vacuum should a pre-set temperature be exceeded. This
condition typically occurs due to a restriction in cooling air-flow to the motor.
1. Switch the vacuum OFF and unplug.
2. Check for full filter bag or clogged, dirty filter including optional hEPA filter if applicable.
3. Check hose for blockage.
4. Clean or replace filters. Remove any obstruction from hose.
5. The Thermal Motor Protective Device will automatically re-set in approx. 10 min.
6. Switch vacuum ON and continue cleaning.
