8. Disposal of packaging and product
Year after year it has been Auping's
commitment to invest in cleaner
production processes and thereby to
save the environment as much as
possible by using durable materials.
All mattresses are constructed of
CFC-free materials. The mattress is
manufactured in such way that no
unnecessary waste is created. The
mesh bases are constructed of
galvanised steel, a material which is
exceptionally well-suited for
recycling.
Removal
Never use the loops of the manually
adjustable parts to move the Royal
mesh base.
Make sure that the adjustable parts
of the mesh base cannot move or
fall open during transport – by
lashing the sub-frame and upper
frame together, for example. Do not
remove any screws from the mesh
base.
Remove the plug from the socket
before moving the bed.
Please note! The head support can
drop down when the motor on the
head end of the bed is being
dismantled.
Safe waste disposal
The frame of the Royal mesh base is
a construction under high tension
due to the steel mesh. Therefore, do
not saw through the frame; do not
weaken or impair the frame in any
way. Any cardboard material and/or
polythylene film (PE) used for
packaging should be disposed of in
a responsible and environmental
friendly way. Please observe
regulations of your local authority.
Returnable packaging
For some countries Royal mesh
bases may be packed in returnable
packaging (see fig. 6). This
packaging will be sent back to the
manufacturer by the retailer.
