Repair and customer service.
Once per week; more often in case of frequent usage:
– Keep the contacts in the slide-on shoe clean.
– Only dry-clean electrical contacts.
– Ensure that metal chips do not enter the battery-
charger housing.
When the battery charger's power cord is damaged, it
must be replaced by Fein or by an authorized Fein Service
Agent, in order to avoid hazardous situations.
Warranty and liability.
The warranty for the product is valid in accordance with
the legal regulations in the country where it is marketed.
In addition, Fein also provides a guarantee in accordance
with the Fein manufacturer's warranty declaration.
The delivery scope of your battery charger may include
only a part of the accessories described or shown in this
Instruction Manual.

conforming with the relevant provisions given on the last
page of this Instruction Manual.

Meaning
The battery charger is ready for operation; mains voltage is given.
The rapid charging is completed. Trickle charging is active (only NiCd/NiMH batter-
ies).
Charging not possible due to the following possible reasons:
– Contacts contaminated. Improvement measure: Clean the contacts by inserting and
removing the battery several times.
– The battery is defective. Improvement measure: Replace the battery!
The battery temperature is not within the charge-temperature range of 0 °C to
+45 °C. The rapid charging procedure starts as soon as the battery reaches the allow-
able charging-temperature range.
Environmental protection, disposal.
Packaging, worn out battery chargers and accessories
should be sorted for environment-friendly recycling.
Dispose of batteries only when discharged.
For batteries that are not completely discharged, insulate
the terminals with tape as a protective measure against
short-circuiting.
