Function of the gravity brake and ball valves
The gravity brake is installed in the return ball valve

The ball valves are open.
The key areas are vertical.
To open the ball valve, it must be turned in
the "on" position by turning the spindle 90 °
counterclockwise with a 12 mm open-end
wrench.
To prevent gravity circulation, the valve disk
must not be lifted.
The gravity brake is in the operating position
when the wrench flats are vertical.
For filling and complete draining of the sys-
tem, the gravity brake is opened by turning
the valve to the right.
The spindle is at an angle of 45°.
The ball valves are closed.
The key areas are horizontal.
To close the ball valve, it must be set to the
"off" position. To do this, the spindle must be
turned 90 ° clockwise with a 12 mm open-
end wrench.
