SILENT BLOCK EXTRACTOR SAF Ø158mm
6.
Insert the threaded rod (1) of the pre-assembled installation tool from the nut side through
the silentblock bracket housing, ensuring that the cover or locking plate (4) is correctly positioned
against the silentblock housing (6), as shown in fi gure 13
7.
Slide the sleeve or down tube (5) onto the threaded rod (1); the centering ring of the
sleeve must be centered with the silentblock housing on the suspension arm (6). Ensure that the
horizontal line of the sleeve or down tube is aligned with the horizontal line previously marked on
the suspension arm (Figure 14).

of the liner with the
suspension arm
8. Turn the spindle nut (1) with a spanner and force the silentblock (7) into the sleeve (6) until the
sleeve is completely free (fi gure 15).
CAUTION
Risk of accident
Incorrect support of the bushing with the silentbloc housing on the suspension arm may allow it
to fall and thus cause injury or material damage.
Prevent the down tube from falling to the ground.
9.
Remove the sleeve and continue to insert the rubber block until it is completely out of the
housing.
10.
Dismantle the tooling completely.
11.
Check the spacing and readjust if necessary. Figure 16 shows an example of 1300 mm
spacing.
12.
Check the accuracy of the silentblock. Make sure that the word "TOP" (in white as a guide)
is on the top and that the horizontal mark on the repositioned silentblock is in a straight line with
the mark previously made on the arm housing sleeve (Fig. 17). If these points do not coincide, it
must be removed and refi tted.
